Traveling can be great for the soul, but many people tend to put self-care on the back burner while on vacation. The fact is, getting away from your normal routine means you need self-care more than ever! From long drives or plane rides to spending hours out in the sun and eating foods our bodies aren’t accustomed to, our bodies need a little extra TLC in order to stay healthy while traveling. Below are four tips to help keep you healthy while enjoying that fabulous vacation!

4. Get Moving

No matter where you are, there’s always a way to get your body moving around! There are several yoga stretches that can be done while standing in one place or even while sitting on that long plane ride, and if you’re exploring a new town or city, there’s no rule that says you can’t walk to nearby destinations, so you get a little exercise in while enjoying the local scenery!

3. Pay Attention to Your Body

Running from one activity to the next all day long for several days ta a time is a great way to forget about the basics that your body needs to stay healthy, until it’s too late and you’re already exhausted or irritated. Don’t wait until you’re tired, hungry or feeling dehydrated to stop for a rest, a quick meal or down a bottle of water! Pay attention to your body and try to stick close to your regular eating and sleeping schedule as much as possible!
