There are even deals where you don’t have to pay anything up front, but you sign a contract and pay installments for the phone along with your service month-to-month. Here is a breakdown of some of the hottest mobile phone deals around.


Being one of the top cell phone service providers, Verizon offers a number of great cell phone deals along with great service. With a 2-year contract, you can get a number of free phones such as the LG G3 or even the iPhone 5C. Right now single line plans, starting at $45 dollars a month, offer unlimited talk and text With Verizon EDGE. If you need the latest smartphone you can pay the phone in monthly installments. For an iPhone 6 you pay $27.08 a month over the course of 24 months with Verizon EDGE. Alternately you can pay a $199.99 down payment and sign a regular 2-year contract. For a limited time, Verizon is offering 2 smartphone lines for $100 a month with 6GB of data and unlimited talk and text. That way you and your loved one can be on the same plan for a reduced cost.


Sprint offers 2 lines for $100 a month plus unlimited high speed data, as well as unlimited talk and text. Additional lines cost $40 a month. For a Samsung Galaxy S 5 you can pay a down payment of $99.99 or for an iPhone 6 you can pay $199.99 with a 2-year contract. If you don’t have the money for a down payment, Sprint offers the option to lease cell phones for $0.00 down payment with a 24-month lease option. For a Galaxy S 5 you pay $20 a month to lease, while an iPhone 6 you pay $35. Furthermore, Sprint is now offering to cut your current cell phone bill in half with the Cut Your Bill in Half Event. Sprint will provide unlimited talk and text and match your data plan, while charging you half of your current rate. However, the discount applies to base monthly plans only.


With AT&T, there are a number of cell phones you can pay toward per month in addition to the cost of your service plan. A Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would normally cost $825.99 but AT&T offers payment installments for just $27.54 over the course of 30 months. With a 2-year contract you can pay $299.99 up front. For a reduced cost, you can purchase used cell phones, or rather “like-new” phones. While AT&T’s services plans extend to 30 months, you end up paying less per month. Therefore, AT&T is a great option for people who want to or need to pay less per month for their phones. Nevertheless, with the 30-month AT&T Next 24 plan you can trade in your phone and upgrade to a newer model after 24 months, so you aren’t stuck with the same phone for over 2 years.

Straight Talk

If paying tons of money for the latest smart phone is not an option for you, or you don’t want to trap yourself in a 2 year contract, getting a prepaid cell phone may be a great option for you. Straight Talk offers monthly, semi-annual or annual no contract plans. For $30 a month, you can get 1,500 minutes, unlimited nationwide text, and 100 MB of data. For $255 for 6 months you can get unlimited talk and text with 3GB of high speed data every 30 days. For $495 a year you can get unlimited talk and text as well as 3GB of high speed data every 30 days. Further there are also 3 month deals and an unlimited 1 month deal, if you do not want to make any commitments.


Another prepaid cell phone option is TracFone is a prepaid cell phone provider that offers minutes monthly. If you aren’t addicted to your phone, TracFone offers the lowest priced monthly plans on the market. All plans include talk, text, email and internet with no contracts. After the cost of the phone you choose, for 30 days you can get 50 minutes for just $9.99 a month. Family plans are also offered in which you pay $9.99 per month for 50 minutes and $5.99 for 40 minutes for each additional phone.
